Woman to Woman Engineering Alumnae Event

Twila Hinds, former WiMSE RA and senior biomedical engineering major, has worked in conjunction with the School of Engineering to create the Woman to Woman program. Woman to Woman invites UConn Engineering alumnae to speak with undergraduates of any major in a casual format. The floor is open to discussion and past topics included: salaries, working in a heavily male dominated industry, family life and prejudices experienced by the speaker during her journey. Past alumni came from Insurity, Covidien, Unilever, General Electric and Pratt and Whitney. A schedule of events can be found below:

20-Feb-14:  Pam Petro (B.S. Chemical Engineering, ’86; MBA’93)

20-Mar-14:  Kristen Langlois (B.S. Biomedical Engineering, ’07)

17-Apr-14:  Katherine Coughlin (B.S. Mechanical Engineering, ’05)

All events will be in the WiMSE Space (Ryan 251).
