UConn HuskyDrive: Ignite 2014

Andrew Kim of Leadership House has started a project to raise funds for First Year Programs & Learning Communities through UConn Ignite. Ignite is a crowd funding program that allows students to engage in philanthropy and raise funds to support a cause at UConn. Groups can earn a portion of a $27,000 donation prize for their project based on different criteria, including total number of donors and funds raised (prize donated by alumni Dave Barton ’67 and Adam Schwartz ’97). Find out more about the Ignite program here: UConn Ignite 2014 and support the FYP & LC project here: FYP & LC Ignite Project

FYP&LC Community Recognition Breakfast 2013

The Office of First Year Programs & Learning Communities would like to once again thank you for all you have done this semester to support first-year student success. And we’d like to give a special thank you to everyone who joined us on December 10th to celebrate at the FYP&LC “Recognize & Celebrate, Community & Innovation” recognition breakfast. It was wonderful to see so many people for all areas of the university who have all made this office’s mission attainable. We would also like to extend our congratulations and gratitude to all of our 2013 award and certificate recipients, and our 2013 Faculty Oversight members.
