Hi everyone! My name is Esther, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I’m a communication and journalism double major. I joined MFYS because I wanted to get involved with at least one other organization on campus other than our school newspaper (shoutout to the DC), but also because podcast writing was something I had never done before and wanted to try. Now that I’ve joined, I think it’s about time that I start listening to podcasts considering I’ve never actually listened to one (I’m sorry). Nonetheless, I’m glad to be part of a team that aims to help students who may be struggling with everything that comes with the college experience. As someone who had a particularly rough first semester as a freshman, I empathize. Thankfully, MFYS does a great job of acknowledging those struggles, discussing the best ways in overcoming them, and realizing that you’re never alone in adversity.
