The Office of First Year Programs and Learning Communities is committed to providing the highest quality First Year Experience courses possible through ongoing instructor professional development and meaningful engagement with major contemporary debates in pedagogy and praxis. To support faculty and staff across campus in providing innovative, robust instruction in FYE sections and beyond, FYP&LC offers numerous teaching and learning workshops in summer and fall, and hosts more than 100 staff, faculty, and graduate students from across campus each year at the an Annual Institute for Curricular Innovation conference in May.
